FAQs
How do you book a session?
All bookings are made online. Please ensure you select the correct sessions - private, communal or women’s hour.
Pre-payment is essential and we operate a 48 hour cancellation policy.
How should I prepare for my session?
Bring 2 towels, one to sit on and another for drying.
Water bottle to stay hydrated through your session
We recommend coming dressed in your swimwear to avoid wasting time whilst in your session.
Warm clothes for after plus a dry robe (or similar) for in between your contrast therapies.
Sliders or flipflops for easy movement between the elements
Slohaus parking is located in the main Peterley Manor Farm car park. After parking take the path beyond the Barn Kitchen and follow the sign to Slohaus Wild Spa + Sauna.
Weekend bookings will be sent a code for the path leading to Slohaus and be shared in your confirmation email
Please use the bathroom prior to your session starting. Slohaus customers can use the Barn Kitchen toilets (if open) during their session but this will eat into your session time. If the café is closed, then the Dutch Barn toilets will be open as an alternative.
What’s included in the session?
Wood-fired sauna, two giant 6.5ft steel ice baths, Eco HotTub and outdoor cold shower.
Firepit for socialising and re-connection plus plenty of sheltered woodland nooks for peaceful moments.
Private changing cubicles are also available
As this is an outside space we recommend leaving all valuables at home.
Any items brought to Slohaus will be at your own risk
Our recommendation use during your session:
Swimwear must be worn at all times, nudity is not permitted at Slohaus.
We have the sauna set between 70-90 degrees. We recommend no longer than 20 mins in the sauna but those new to contrast therapy may wish to start with shorter periods of 5-15mins. Listen to your body as it knows best.
Cold water immersion – keep it brief - 1-2 minutes for beginners. Regular users who have a higher tolerance may go up to 5 minutes maximum.
Listen to your body take your time to adjust to the temperatures and cool down gradually if needed. Use your intuition and know your own rhythm.
What should I do post Slohaus?
Dress in warm comfortable clothing.
Keep hydrated and refuel.
Book again and tell your friends.
